July and Barbault’s Basket
I know every astrologer is talking about July because the patterns the sky is making in Air and Fire signs are so very pointed. I recently listened to an astrologer I trust say that we will be talking about July 2026 in terms of before and after, the way we talk about before and after March 2020.
Hearing that brought some anxiety into my body. But then I remembered about Barbault’s basket.
André Barbault is a French mundane astrologer who predicted COVID in 2011, who predicts 2026 will be “the most benefic configuration of the century" and predicted "a splendid relaunch of civilization." I learned about this from Astrologers Catie McQ and SJ Anderson.
While I am a longtime learner of Astrology, it is not the focus of my work. The focus of my work is consciousness, and how we can work at the intersection of creativity, meaning-making, and mysticism to better understand what it means to be human, and to have the most fulfilling, empowering experience of being human.
So I will leave the astrology to the capital A Astrologers, and use this space to tell you about the messages I am receiving for the month ahead.
July’s Energy
July 2026 is a pivotal inflection point driven by a rare astrological configuration of outer planets perfecting at 4 degrees in fire and air signs described by astrologer André Barbeau as a “splendid relaunch of civilization.” The month calls for grounding spiritual expansion into embodied, heart-led action rather than reactive or fear-driven responses. Some key themes are: emotional clearing, creative fertility, and a deepening connection between cosmic and earthly energies.
